Asia floods emergency - Christian Aid appeals to churches for urgent help

Christian Aid logo "As you may have already seen in the news, south Asia has been devastated by some of the worst floods in years. Extreme rains have left at least 14 million displaced in India, and a further seven million people marooned in Bangladesh. Twelve million of those affected in India are in the state of Bihar, where some of the country's most marginalised and socially excluded people live. Hundreds of thousands throughout the region are facing hunger and disease.

"People have lost everything. Their homes have been washed away and they have been left with nothing. We need to get help to them urgently."
