Our Aims and Objectives

This document has been written to show why we have a Diocesan Office, and something of the great diversity of work that is done by the staff.

This document is consistent with the Bishop's Charge and the agreed Diocesan Strategic Aims.

Our Aims

• To ensure the effective co-ordination of strategy, development and delivery of resources
• To provide an effective central servicing structure at the minimum sustainable level.

Our Objectives

In relation to the first aim

a) To provide an innovative and visionary support service to the Bishops, Diocesan Synod, and Bishop's Council.
b) To seek continuous improvement in the development and delivery of services to parishes and Diocese.

In relation to the second aim

c) To carry out the requirements of the Bishop, the Diocesan Synod, Bishop's Council and other diocesan committees efficiently, effectively and economically.
d) Continue to seek improvements in operational methods.
e) Continue to seek improvement in relationships with clergy and parishes so as to foster a mutual understanding of common situations.
