Diocese makes key connections
CHELMSFORD diocese has published its second stakeholder briefing. The report, called Putting Faith Into Action, is designed to showcase church projects in Essex and East London. It is addressed to individuals and groups including national and local government, the environment, education, the health service, social services, business and the voluntary sector.
Ralph Meloy, communications director, has said: "Essex and East London is the second largest church region in the country.
"We are also Europe's top region for regeneration. Key opinion formers and decision makers need to know how Church of England people are transforming the communities they serve. Many of our contacts are surprised to discover what a dynamic movement we are. We stand ready to work in closer partnerships towards shared objectives, and will be keeping our stakeholders in the picture with a concise report every six months as well as meeting them face to face."
Last year, the diocese published its first stakeholder report, Making A Difference, in addition to the reports to Synod, Companies House and the Charity Commission.
