Caring for the Parish Church
Parish churches are our most notable historic buildings, being not only architecturally important but also symbols of the life and aspirations of the communities in which they stand. To help those who are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and preservation of these important buildings, the DAC, in conjunction with Essex County Council, organises a biennial conference that explores topics of current interest to churchwardens, PCCs, clergy, and architects.
The 2007 Caring for the Parish Church conference will be held at Writtle College on Wednesday 17 October, and subjects covered will include fire protection, health and safety, audio and visual aids, reordering, damp, and routine maintenance.
