Young Christians to enjoy "SOLID-arity"
SCHOOL years 7+ can look forward to an action-packed weekend this July at the'kingdom come' SOLID youth festival in Upminster. Chelmsford Diocese has signed up to be a partner in support of the event - from
Friday to Sunday July 6-8 at Stubbers adventure centre.
The weekend will include sport, adventure activities, workshops, seminars, inflatables, bands, worship events, five-a-side football and a host of seminars. A huge marquee worship event, an after-hours fringe venue and nationally renowned bands will kick the weekend off on the Friday night.
Stay on site in your own tent or book early and get a bunkhouse place. Cater for yourself or take advantage of on-site food outlets. Last year more than 800 young people joined in. So book early to avoid disappointment.
Whether your youth group is large or small, this event is not to be missed. Go to www.solidnet.org.uk for more information and bookings.
The Bishop of Barking, Rt Revd David Hawkins, who is lead bishop for youth in Chelmsford diocese, said:
"SOLID enables young Christians to realise they are not the only ones in their area. It fosters a sense of
SOLID-arity!"
