Chelsea Flower Show stars bloom at Woodham Festival
CHELSEA gold medal winners will entertain visitors at Woodham Walter Festival of Flowers.The co-ordinator of this year's gold medal-winning team at the Chelsea Flower Show is among the talented arrangers who will be exhibiting at the Flower Festival at Woodham Walter Church from Friday
13th to Monday July 16.
The Chelsea team, led by Suzanne Gaywood, assisted by Sue and Brian Cumming, Jane and Dave
Weedon, and Ivor and Gill Brearley, also from Woodham Walter, scored another hit by winning an amazing sixth gold medal for their display for Grenada in the Great Pavilion at the Royal Horticultural Society's show.
Also among the arrangers are past medal winners Lionel Clark and Wendy Munnion, who won gold for Maldon Flower Club with their first display in 2000.
This year's Woodham Walter theme is ‘Books in Bloom' with interpretations all kinds of books
from fairy stories and classic literature to Sherlock Holmes!
Many talented village residents are involved, as well as the children from Woodham Walter Primary
School and the Tadpoles Nursery.
The village hall is hosting an art
show from Friday to Sunday, there
will be a special festival service at
St Michael's at 9.45am on Sunday,
and on Sunday there will be a
traditional Country Fête at Woodham
Walter school from 1pm to 4pm.

10am-6pm, Sunday 15th, 11am-
6pm, Monday 16th, 10am-6pm.
