Bethlehem remembered
ST Botolph's church in Colchester held three charity concerts during October, November and December to raise £1,500 for the Sheepfold Day Care Centre in Bethlehem.The Music Society, under conductor Colin Nicholson (pictured above), raised the cash to support the essential work of the centre caring for children with disability. The Sheepfold Centre is a project supported by the BibleLands charity which also supports three other needy projects in Bethlehem.
The director of Sheepfold said: "I was really touched to learn that people I don't know had organised concerts on behalf of the Sheepfold's children."
BibleLands representative Richard Jones said: "St Botolph's Music Society have done a great job remembering others. The music of Mozart was a superb way to help children suffering from multiple disabilities."
