Bishop sends messages to Kenyan church
THE Bishop of Chelmsford, Rt Revd John Gladwin, has expressed deep sadness at the tragic loss of lives in Kenya, including those who perished in the church in Eldoret.Bishop John has sent messages of support to the Archbishop of Kenya, Benjamin Nzimbi, and to the bishops of the dioceses to which Chelmsford Diocese is linked - the Bishop of Embu, Henry Kathii, the Bishop of Kirinyaga, Daniel Ngoru, the Bishop of Mbeeri, Gideon Ireri, and the Bishop of Nehru, Charles Mwendwa.
As well as offering prayers that they may continue in faithfulness to witness to God's love and
work together with all God's people for a future which will be free from violence, he prays that
God may protect them and all their people and there will soon be an end to the present
uncertainty so that they can continue in their proclamation of the Gospel of Christ our Lord to all the people in their care.
