Counter-Terrorism BillThe Bishop of Chelmsford, Rt Revd John Gladwin, participated in a House of Lords debate on 8 July 2008 about the Counter-Terrorism Bill. My Lords, on the night of 10 September 2001, my wife and I were on a plane from Washington to London. We arrived on 11 September and returned to my diocese in Guildford. Two or three days later, more than 500 members of the American community in Surrey gathered in Guildford Cathedral for a service, Surrey having the largest American community in the country. |
