Follow in the footsteps of a saint - Bradwell Pilgrimage 2008

St Peter-on-the-WallWalk to Bradwell-on-Sea where sky and Essex and water meet. This gentle two-mile stroll marks the giant leap made by St Cedd when he brought Christianity to Essex in AD 654. Renewal of Baptism vows service on the beach. Reflections and presentations on the theme of water. Wear something blue.

The Cross of St Cedd

 

The Christian faith came to Essex more than thirteen centuries ago. St Cedd and his followers set foot in Bradwell on the Essex coast in AD 654, set people free and put Christianity on the map.
