Chalking up festival dates

THOUSANDS of people from across Essex and East London are set to descend on Chelmsford in July for re:fresh08, the Chelmsford Christian festival.

Christian leader and TV personality Steve Chalke has given the festival his support and will be
taking part in the event. Speaking at a party in Chelmsford cathedral attended by 700 people
last month, Steve Chalke said: "The festival will have a wonderful message to share. Whoever we are
and whatever we've done, we're all made in God's image. I'm looking forward to coming to re:fresh 08 in July."

The festival offers nine days of live acts, music, special guests, talks and fringe events from July 12 to 20. The London Gospel Community Choir and 1960s pop star and actor Paul Jones have already signed up.
