Count down to Bradwell Pilgrimage

A GENTLE two-mile walk to Bradwell-on-Sea on Saturday July 5 will mark the giant leap made by St
Cedd when he brought Christianity to Essex in 654 AD.

The pilgrimage to the chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall will include reflections and presentations of the
theme of water. Walkers are invited to wear something blue.

Walkers will be able to take part in a renewal of baptism service on the beach, a key element of the
Pilgrimage 2008.

Timings - Arrival: There is ample car parking at Bradwell-on-Sea village hall.
10.45am - Assemble at St Thomas's Bradwell-on-Sea.
11am - Service at St Thomas's.
Two-mile walk to St Peter's Chapel where there will be a variety of presentations and activities on the
‘Water' theme. There will be music, dance, stalls, refreshments and enjoy a picnic on the grass.
3.15pm - Corporate act of worship at the Chapel.
4pm - Close.
