WHAT do the different faiths have to say about the credit crunch?
An inter-faith conference called ‘A shared faiths' response to the credit crunch', which will be hosted by the Basildon Faiths Forum, will draw together speakers from Christian, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim perspectives.
They will relate the theology or practice of their faith to some of the issues which rise to the surface in the present economic scenario.
Each short presentation in the morning session of the conference will be followed up by a workshop in the afternoon, so that delegates all get a chance to discuss matters further with each presenter.
The conference will be held during the first national Interfaith Week, on November 18 (10am to 4.15pm) at the Wat Tyler Centre, Pitsea.
