Grants
Every licensed minister in the diocese has access to a CME grant. This is one of the key ways in which delivery of CME provision works.
The thinking is simply that each of us needs to take responsibility for our own ongoing learning. Therefore, rather than the CME department expecting to provide a huge range of courses we encourage ministers to find courses which meet their own learning needs and we will provide the finances for attendance on the course.
Access to grants is usually first by e mail to the CME adminstrator, Sue Denham.
The current level of grants is £220 per year adminstered over a three year period beginning 1st January 2008. Thus, at any time within the three years from 1st January 2008 you have access to a maximum of £660. At the end of the the three year period the grants all conclude and a new triennium begins. (Those arriving in the intervening years are entited to £440 and £220 respectively)
If you would like advice about what courses would be most useful to you please contact your Area CME Adviser. For information as to who that is click here.
