Rt Revd John Wraw, the new Bishop of Bradwell, was commissioned for his ministry in Chelmsford Diocese on 29 January 2012.

Speaking at the Service of Installation and Welcome in Chelmsford Cathedral, Bishop John said: “We need to work for a transformed society where the old are respected and the young valued.

"The people and churches of the Bradwell Area are called not simply to proclaim God’s vision of a renewed world but to live it out in their common life and in their lives as individuals.”

The Bishop of Chelmsford, Rt Revd Stephen Cottrell, welcomed Bishop John, adding: “John’s love of the gospel and his natural gifts of enabling and facilitating others are just what we need at the moment as we seek, under God, to be a transforming presence in the world.”
