Lambeth bishops will get taste of Essex parish life

IN July, Chelmsford diocese will have a double celebration.

A number of visiting Bishops from around the world will be coming to the diocese before going on to the Lambeth Conference. Chelmsford will also be celebrating 30 years of being linked with dioceses in Kenya. The visiting bishops will be the guests of parishes.

The Bishops will be arriving on July 9 or 10 and will move to Lambeth on July 16. They will be warmly welcomed at a special service to be held in Chelmsford cathedral on the Saturday. Another service, to mark the Kenya links, will be held on the Sunday evening.

It is anticipated that the visiting bishops will be in parish churches on the Sunday morning.
