The LENT & EASTERTIDE SCHOOLS are a collection of education, training and skills events across the Diocese during Lent and Eastertide each year. Subjects covered are as diverse as art & theology, pastoral care, children's ministry, gospel and culture, Christianity and other faiths, evangelism and Biblical studies. The courses are open to anyone. |
Lent and Eastertide Schools for 2009 have now finished. Details about the 2010 courses will be published here in the Autumn.
A series of short courses running across the diocese between Ash Wednesday and Pentecost.
Courses cost £15 and themes include:
The ministry of the Evangelist; dance and worship; the faith we share; Churches together today; Children, community and church; the Reformation in Essex and East London;is the Old Testament Christian? mission shaped mission; Gospel and popular culture; walk thru' the Bible; let us be human; Christian poetry; Old Testament lucky dip; signposts into life; pastoral care; living with other faiths; Christian art; Myers Briggs refresher; prayer workshop.
