What is the Barking Programme?

Resources

If you can spare five minutes…

…make sure someone has put up the appeal poster at your church, and ask your vicar to arrange a collection for the appeal on each of the Sundays in Lent.

If you can spare 15 minutes…

… please also download the church sheet or schools sheet to give to your vicar or a teacher at your child’s school. Ask them to do one extra thing for the appeal, such as talking about it at a service or school assembly.

If you can spare a little longer…

… download the count your blessings sheet, donation form and Gift Aid declaration, print three copies and persuade two friends to use them during Lent. (The other copy is for you!) Lent gives us a chance to appreciate what we have in life – and give something back. Count your blessings gives you ideas about how you can do this by offering something to reflect on or do every day during Lent.  Please send your cheque made payable to ‘CDBF’ with the donation form and Gift Aid declaration to Lent Appeal, Christine Reed, Chelmsford Diocese, 53 New Street CM1 1AT.
