Mission and ministry - equipping God's people
Discipleship
The Christian faith inspires people to grow as followers of Jesus Christ (discipleship) and to use the gifts and talents that God has entrusted to us in his service and for his glory (ministry). As a diocese we are committed to supporting the local church in encouraging each person in their growth and development. We do this by offering a range of opportunities for education and training across the diocese.
Some people want to learn more about the Christian faith and living as God’s people in today’s world. The diocese offers a variety of courses under the title Learning for Life to explore these important subjects and they are open to all. Information about these courses can be found by following the links below:
Training for Ministry
We believe that each person has an important contribution to make to the church family and the wider community. Some people sense that God is calling them to a particular area of ministry, for which they require specific selection and training. Selection for these ministries is undertaken with great care and sensitivity (see Vocations).
The content of the training has been carefully structured to support people in preparing for the ministry to which they have been called. Information about training for a particular ministry can be found by following the links below:

We are also committed to ongoing support and training for all those engaged in authorised ministry. Information about continuing ministerial education can be found at the following link:
