Mystery Worshipper
Those who visit the 'Ship of Fools' website will be familiar with the Mystery Worshipper reports since 1998, where a Mystery Worshipper attends a church service incognito and reports back on areas such as, the welcome, atmosphere, sermon, refreshments, music etc.
As a diocese we are always looking to improve and support our parishes in the vital ministry of welcoming and so will shortly offer to our parishes a visit of a Mystery Worshipper. This person will simply attend a Sunday service unannounced, and will then fill out a comprehensive feedback form. A report is later completed for the incumbent, with the option of a second visit taking place 6 to 12 months later.
In the meantime I am looking to recruit and train Mystery Worshippers from the Diocese. If you feel you could be part of this team please contact me;
