Transforming the communities of Essex & East London through Christ’s presence

Motorbike is a 40th anniversary present for Kenya

21st Feb 2018

Members of our Bishop's senior staff are visiting Kenya to celebrate 40 years of our partnership with the region of Mount Kenya East. This now comprises five dioceses and the team is visiting all of them: Marsabit, Meru, Mbeere, Embu and Kirinyaga. They will be attending services, teaching at churches and visiting a children's home and church projects.

The Archdeacon of West Ham, Elwin Cockett will present a motorbike funded by the West Ham Archdeaconry to the Diocese of Marsabit where the terrain is hard and communities can be difficult to reach even by a 4x4.

This year's Bishop Lent Appeal is raising vital money to support the Diocese of Marsabit in purchasing a water bowser to transport water to remote communities suffering from drought.
