Bishop Stephen: ‘All are pilgrims’
Reflecting on his recent pilgrimage Stephen Cottrell, the Bishop of Chelmsford, has shared with Chelmsford Diocesan Synod his thoughts on thanksgiving, trust, joy and being pilgrims together.
“I want to change the tone of our debate, as a church and as a nation,”
said Bishop Stephen,
“so as we stop talking about some groups of people – immigrants, refugees, gay and lesbian people for instance – as if they are somehow a problem. They are not. They are our fellow pilgrims.”
