General Election 2015 - “Think about the common good”
The people and parishes of the Church of England have been urged in a Pastoral Letter from the House of Bishops to consider a vital question.
This question is how can we “build the kind of society which many people say they want but which is not yet being expressed in the vision of any of the parties?”
Commenting on this Letter, the Bishop of Chelmsford has said:
“When Christians cast their vote we should be thinking about the common good not just our own.
“Mapping the territory from a Christian perspective, this Pastoral Letter doesn't tell you which party to vote for, but it will help your decide what really matters.”
