Paris attacks - Bishop calls for common language of life and hope
Following the terrorist attacks in Paris, Stephen Cottrell, the Bishop of Chelmsford, is calling for a common language of life and hope, from which real and lasting peace can emerge. Military intervention, though necessary to thwart the kind of terrorist attacks we witnessed in Paris, is not sufficient, says the Bishop.
Bishop Stephen is inviting everyone, whatever their faith, to pray for all who suffer as a result of violence and conflict, for the security and emergency services, and for our leaders.
The Bishop’s remarks can be read on the website of Chelmsford Weekly News.
