Olympic Executive Co-ordinator
Duncan Green worked with the chaplaincy team at the Beijing OlympicsThe main site for the 2012 Olympic Games is located at Stratford. This is in Chelmsford Diocese. We are actively involved in preparations for the Games and have seconded Revd Canon Duncan Green to the London Organising Committee (LOCOG). Duncan leads the Church of England’s engagement with the Games as CofE Olympic Executive Co-ordinator.
Duncan works alongside the Olympic bodies and authorities, government departments and local authorities. As well as this he co-ordinates with churches and communities, including those surrounding the Olympic venues and further afield, to help them engage with the opportunities that the Games present. These opportunities include:
- Community legacy.

- School projects.
- Volunteering and stewardship.
- Sport & health encouragement.
