Property Services

The Houses Sub-Committee is responsible for the provision, replacement, improvement and repair of clergy houses ensuring that occupants are provided with a comfortable home and convenient place of work for the performance of their ministry.

The Property Services Department  supervises and monitors repairs and maintenance work.  The Guide for Residents has been prepared to assist residents with the management of their home.

Richard Smith is Property Manager and head of department, responsible for conducting periodic surveys, reports, specifications, building insurance claims and administration, and advice on trees. (01245 294436)

Kevin Quinlan is Richard's assistant and Deputy Property Manager, also responsible for drawing plans, preparing specifications and contracts, and managing new builds.  (01245 294415)

Terry Beeson is the Building Officer responsible for supervising periodic works, repairs, boiler servicing and administration. Terry also assists with facilities management. (01245 294418)

Jean Cairns is the Finance Officer responsible for processing financial information, council tax, water rates, invoices, the CIS scheme, buildings insurance and data recording. (01245 294435)

Sheila Downs is the Repairs Helpline Co-ordinator responsible for taking general calls and calls from clergy requesting a repair to their house, organising contractors and administering the car fleet. (01245 294471)

Anna Franklin is the Property Officer responsible for administering the Houses and Investments sub-committees, glebe, deeds, records, administration, research and data retrieval.  (01245 294420)

Melody Hackett is the Lettings Officer responsible for letting, and administering vacant, clergy houses.  (01245 294413)

Trevor Martin is the Senior Building Officer responsible for managing vacancy works and supervising new builds and major schemes.  (01245 294414)

Sid Rudd is the Building Surveyor responsible for drawing plans, preparing specifications, and managing contracts for new kitchens, bathrooms, major refurbishment schemes and window replacement.  (01245 294418)

Helen James is the Property Services administrator, helping with the secretarial and administrative needs of the department.
