Saying it with balloons

Churches are saying it with balloons as they get ready to welcome people back to church next Sunday. And they want everyone in Essex and East London to get the same message: 'Come back to church'. At the event outside Chelmsford Cathedral, one of three venues in Chelmsford Diocese where balloons were launched, the Mayor of Chelmsford, Cllr David Lee and Mrs Lee were joined by 40 children from Chelmsford Cathedral School.

Chelmsford Diocese has 500 parishes and 50,000 church members. Our churches aspire to be open and welcoming to all on Back to Church Sunday and throughout the year.
