Responding to reports that the Occupy movement is in the churchyard of St Mary's Church in Prittlewell, a spokesman for Chelmsford Diocese has said:
"The Occupy movement has been raising important questions about the sort of society people want to live in.
"We will be talking with Occupy over the next few days and do want to listen to what they have to say.
"We ask them to be mindful of the fact that they are in a churchyard and to be sensitive to people's feelings."
