CHILDREN from Millfields primary school have been pronounced ‘special friends' in a mock-wedding ceremony performed by Revd David Thomas at St Mary's church in Wivenhoe.

Happy couple George and Eden walked down the aisle to the Wedding March and read simplified vows in front of the Rector.

The reception included speeches, a glass of apple juice and a three-tier chocolate cake. The day was organised to teach the pupils about the wedding ceremony for their religious education classes.
