Children and Families Worker, and Schools and Community Worker (two posts)

The Church in Great Notley seeks two dynamic and self-motivated people to lead our children and schools work.

The Church in Great Notley, located near Braintree in Essex, is looking for two people, with energy and enthusiasm, to lead and develop our children's and families work.

The Children and Families Worker will build on our current provision on a Sunday morning as well as developing our Messy Church as we seek to reach out to the young people of the village.  Working alongside a hard-working, dedicated team of volunteers you will develop the faith of our young people and explore new ways to welcome families into the church.

Children and Families Worker Job description 

The Schools and Community Worker will establish strong links with the two local primary schools within the village, establishing an after-school club, delivering assemblies and lessons working alongside our own volunteers. This is a new post which requires a person who is self-motivated, has creative flare and is able to develop and maintain good relationships.

Schools and Community Worker Job description 

Both positions are for three years' fixed term but may be extended subject to funding. They are for 10 hours per week during term time and there will also be a requirement to work one week of the schools summer holiday.

Salary: £18,200 pro rata (actual salary: £4,200 per annum).

Under the Equalities Act 2010 there is a genuine occupational requirement for both postholders to be practicing Christians with a member denomination of Churches Together in England.
