The Bishop of Bradwell’s adviser for Liturgy
Bishop John’s Liturgical Adviser is involved with special services and with services in which the Bishop is taking part; in particular with confirmations, licensings and ordinations
The Adviser will work with parishes on their confirmation services, and on licensing services for newly appointed clergy. The adviser also helps with other occasional services for any special occasions or services in which the Bishop is taking part.
The adviser also has a special role to play in preparing for the Ordination of Priests in the Bradwell Area which will take place in July 2017 and in September from 2018. This is a more complex role and the details are set out in the role description.
This post is expected to take about a half-day a week with more time leading up to the Ordinations. This unpaid role is open to both ordained and lay who hold the Bishop's Licence. Expenses will be reimbursed
Bishop John writes:
The Revd Brenda Wallace is stepping down as my liturgical assistant after 5 years. I am hugely grateful to Brenda for the support she has given me with confirmations, licensings and especially ordinations. I am looking to appoint a successor to Brenda.
