Continuing the Evelyn Underhill weekend. Unfortunately Revd Barry Orford is now unable to lead this weekend.
In his place, Dr Louise Nelstrop, a lecturer in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at York St John and a College Lecturer in Theology at St Benet’s Hall, Oxford has kindly agreed to lead the Quiet Day and Weekend Retreat. Louise is a specialist in Christian Mysticism and has published widely on the English Mysticsas well as on Evelyn Underhill.
Louise will be joined for the weekend by Sarah Kinch, formerly a Baptist Minister who is a long time Companion of the Northumbria Community and, along with her husband Malcolm, leads the Bristol and Somerset Northumbria Community Group. She has previously led Retreats including on Evelyn Underhill and Underhill’s book “Practical Mysticism.” Her interest in Evelyn Underhill began when she was about 14 and her late father gave her a copy of Underhill’s book the “Spiritual Life.”
