Transforming the communities of Essex & East London through Christ’s presence

Developing Connected Communities: A Conference for Faith & Community Groups

Location Central Baptist Church Victoria Road South Chelmsford CM1 1LN
Date Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 9:30am - 3:00pm
Duration   5 hours, 30 minutes

We all know that well connected communities are healthier communities.

This FREE event is aimed at sharing skills and knowledge to help Faith and Community Groups to support those in their wider community. The conference will include Mental Health First Aid Training which aims to raise awareness of mental health and to boost confidence and knowledge in dealing with mental health issues. There will also be an update on the work being carried out by Essex County Council to tackle social isolation and loneliness. This will focus on how a Whole System Approach can help us to understand the impact of loneliness and by working together we can help reduce loneliness and build capacity within communities to support people to live well. A further session will share the aims and objectives of the work currently underway looking at how to improve the support for carers in Essex.

There will also be opportunities for networking over the lunch provided.

We hope you will take this opportunity to join us and look forward to meeting you.

This event is orgainsed by Essex Partners -

The Essex Partners' mission is to improve the lives of Essex people and reduce the demand on public services, by transforming how we work together.

We do this by supporting partners to tackle some of the big challenges facing Essex, acting as a catalyst for change by generating, testing and embedding new ideas, and bringing together partners to build effective collaboration across public services.
