Bishop Roger joins leaders for Electric Road to COP 26

The Right Revd Roger Morris, The Bishop of Colchester will join senior business leaders and public sector leaders from across Essex and East London tomorrow (Friday 29 October) for a special event at the GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt in Braintree to discuss what action needs to be taken to tackle the climate crisis ahead of COP26 which begins on 31 October.
Bishop Roger will host The Electric Road to COP 26 event which will see local leaders share what steps have already been taken in the region to tackle climate change. Those in attendance will send their messages to COP26 leaders by posting them on a dedicated message wall. The messages will be delivered to the COP26 Summit by the Electric Vehicle Association’s convey of vehicles making the journey from Braintree to Glasgow.
Delegates will also have the chance to record video messages to COP26 which will be shared by the Essex Climate Action Commission on social media after the event to mark the start of the COP26 summit.
