Bishops’ prayers following tragic deaths of two teenage boys in Brentwood

The Bishop of Bradwell and the Bishop of Chelmsford have expressed their shock and sadness at the news that two sixteen year old boys have been killed in Brentwood.

On Sunday evening, the Bishop of Bradwell, the Rt Revd Dr John Perumbalath said:

"The news about the tragic deaths of two teenagers in Brentwood is shocking and disturbing. My prayers are with their families and friends, and with the clergy and congregation at St Thomas' Brentwood as they offer support to the community"

Also commenting on Sunday evening, the Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Revd Dr Gul Francis-Dehqani said:

"The news that eight people have been arrested following the tragic deaths of two teenage boys in Brentwood is deeply disturbing. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the boys who have lost their lives."
