Five centenarians take tea with the Bishop
14th Jul 2014
Five centenarians came to tea with Stephen Cottrell, the Bishop of Chelmsford.
The tea party marked a double birthday celebration, because the Diocese of Chelmsford is also 100 years old this year.
Bishop Stephen told the centenarians: "God never sees crowds, only individuals. And a thousand years in God's sight are like a watch in the night. Whether we are old or young, we are all children to God."
The Bishop hosted the tea party at his home in Margaretting.
