The “Parish Giving Scheme” is a multi-diocesan approach to serving parishes with a professional donation management and Gift Aid service which combats the challenge of static giving by allowing donors to increase their giving in line with inflation.
A quality launch alongside a stewardship review provides the opportunity for a step change in the level of giving in a diocese.
"As PCC Treasurer the Parish Giving Scheme makes my accounting much easier and the Gift Form Pack is clear to understand and convey to those interested exactly what is involved and the form the commitment takes. Am happy to recommend it." - Tim Boyden, St Botolph, Hadstock
This short 1 minute video gives an overview of the Parish Giving Scheme and how it might be beneficial to both the parish and to individuals.
"The Parish Giving Scheme is an inspired approach to giving. We receive consistent positive feedback from our participating parishes, notably that the centralised system reduces the burden on parishes by simplifying the administration of giving, reduces risk and saves time. Chelmsford Diocese will continue to support our PGS parishes and actively encourage participation in PGS across the diocese." - Stephen Cottrell, The Bishop of Chelmsford
Below you will find a selection of useful presentations and documents relating to the Parish Giving Scheme and Stewardship.
"Joining the PGS has meant that we now receive a considerable amount of our Gift Aid reclaim promptly every month, helping our cash flow, which together with annual increases in donations has been much appreciated. It has also meant a reduction in workload for our treasurer and myself." - Tim Pearce,Planned Giving and Gift Aid - All Saints’ Church, Springfield, Chelmsford
