Transforming the communities of Essex & East London through Christ’s presence

Team Rector (Designate) in the Wickford & Runwell Team Ministry

Location: Wickford and Runwell

We are looking for a Team Rector (Designate) for our growing commuter-belt market town, situated in South Essex between Basildon and Chelmsford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to provide leadership and supervision to our team in the transition as our current Rector is retiring in November. Our parish has a liberal catholic heritage, but our three congregations come from diverse backgrounds, both within and beyond the Church of England.

Do you feel called to:

  • help us continue our strong tradition of welcome and inclusion for all
  • recruit a new Team Vicar and offer support to our Associate Priest and self-supporting curate
  • enable and encourage us all in ministry and mission, both within the church and in the wider community
  • Develop our worship and encourage us to grow in faith and to creatively imagine ways to grow our congregations

Interviews will be held all day Monday 16th September 2019

An application form can be obtained from the office of the Archdeacon of Southend, and Archdeacon Mike would be happy to have an informal conversation with you about the vacancy, either by email or telephone. The Archdeacon's Lodge, 459 Rayleigh Road, Benfleet, SS7 3TH (01268 779345), a.southend@chelmsford.anglican.org

Closing Date: 12 noon Thursday 8th August 2019
