We are growing our safeguarding team to protect children, young people and adults at risk across our parishes. To help achieve this, we’re looking for an experienced Case Worker to manage a safeguarding caseload, which includes allegations of a safeguarding nature and management of those who may pose a risk. You’ll have responsibility for undertaking risk assessments, giving advice and supporting parishes with advice and consultation with their safeguarding duties. Additionally, you’ll be at the forefront of the team, forming productive professional relationships with clergy and parishes, including parish volunteers and Parish Safeguarding Representatives.

As an experienced safeguarding professional, you’ll have proven investigative capability and the skills needed to confidently manage allegations of a safeguarding nature. You’ll possess established organisational skills, the ability to work with accuracy to deadlines and be resilient in a challenging environment. Using your expertise, you’ll give clear, robust safeguarding advice to clergy and parishes while showing a commitment to safeguarding children and adults at risk, while understanding the ethos and mission of the Church of England and the Diocese.
