This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader, with a good sense of humour, energy and focus and who has the proven ability to lead a demanding yet rewarding Parish.
We stand in the modern catholic tradition and fully support the ordination of women. We aim to be an inclusive church, with a warm and welcoming congregation representing all ages and different ethnic backgrounds.
We are praying for a Vicar who:
- can embrace our Eucharistic style of worship, the daily office and our choral tradition
- understands the importance of our ministry to children and Young People,and is willing to build on existing work whilst exploring new opportunities
- values what it means to be a civic church, maintaining and developing relationships with the local community and our Church schools
- is a team player who is able to lead and motivate staff and volunteers, encouraging their initiatives and enabling them to thrive
- has experience of financial management and can use IT creatively through use of office systems and social media
We can offer:
- a welcoming community and firmly supportive lay leadership, support of an Associate Priest and an efficient and enthusiastic team
- a large and well-appointed detached 4-bedroomed family Vicarage in a good position with access to schools, shops and recreation facilities
- excellent transport links by road, rail and local buses to London, Essex and Kent
