Chelmsford Cathedral hosted our Lay Ministry Celebration service on Saturday afternoon to celebrate a pray for all lay ministries in Chelmsford Diocese.
During the service, Bishop Guli licensed new Licensed Lay Ministers and people were welcomed into a variety of other lay ministry roles. Piers Northam, Licensed Lay Minister at St Mary Latton, Harlow, preached at the service.
The service was a celebration of people starting ministries as:
- Licensed Lay Ministers
- Spiritual Companions
- Lay Pioneers
- Spiritual Evangelists
Our new Licensed Lay Ministers
Our new Licensed Lay Ministers are:
- Sandra Baines serving at St Andrew’s, South Shoebury
- Sally Johnson serving at St Peter in the Forest, Walthamstow
- Martin Roscoe serving at St John’s, Colchester
- Jacqui Light serving in the Canvey Island Team Ministry
- Rosalind Coleridge serving in the Great Baddow Team Ministry
- Liz Dixon serving at St Mary’s, West Bergholt
- Catherine Benbough serving in the Billericay and Little Burstead Team Ministry
