The Vocations Journey:
1. A calling journey is identified:
- Don’t be shy in giving them opportunities – serving the chalice, reading the gospel, leading intercessions, preaching.
- Signpost them to a Vocations Day.
- Get them onto the Course in Christian Studies (if they’re not already!)
2. Refer them to a nearby Vocations Advisor
The contact details for the vocations team including vocations advisors can be found here.
3. When the Vocations Advisor is happy, they’ll refer them back to you as the incumbent
They might advise:
- Seeing a different Vocations Advisor for another opinion
- A referral to the Lay Ministry or Ordination team
- To explore a different ministry in the parish or community setting

Pray!
Maybe you could pray this collect:
Let us pray for the ministry of the whole people of God.
Silence is kept.
God our Father, Lord of all the world,
through your Son you have called us into the fellowship
of your universal Church:
hear our prayer for your faithful people
that in their vocation and ministry
each may be an instrument of your love,
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
