Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come 2025: 29 May - 8 June

Thy Kingdom Come is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus.

Thy Kingdom Come 2025

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Thy Kingdom Come. This year's focus will be the Lord’s Prayer.

Since it began in May 2016, God has grown Thy Kingdom Come from a dream of possibility into a movement which unites more than a million Christians in prayer, in nearly 90% of countries worldwide, across 85 different denominations and traditions - so that friends and family, neighbours and colleagues might come to faith in Jesus Christ.

During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come - from Ascension to Pentecost - individuals, families and churches are encouraged to pray in their own way.

Specifically, every Christian across the globe is invited to pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of five people who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call.

Prayer Stations at Chelmsford Cathedral

There will be a number of Thy Kingdom Come prayer stations for people to access in the beautiful setting of Chelmsford Cathedral.

These stations are based on the words of the Lord’s Prayer, helping all ages to dwell on and linger over the words of the prayer as they use them to connect to God.

Families are invited to explore the prayer stations together from Ascension Day to Pentecost, Thursday 29 May - Sunday 8 June.

Chelmsford Cathedral are hosting group visits for schools between Monday 2 June and Thursday 5  June Schools are invited to contact The Revd Canon Kate Moore, Chelmsford Cathedral’s Canon for Education and Safeguarding to book a time slot for a visit.
