St Mary's Church in Stapleford Tawney hosted their annual Benefice Lambing Service. St Mary's Vicar, Rev'd John Fry describes the event:
"Around 70 people came (this being triple the usual number of people on a Sunday) and our churchwarden nearly ran out of both milk for tea and cakes!"
The service was "held where the farm and churchyard meet, prayers were said to thank God for new life and children had the opportunity to see the livestock close up."
