Housekeeper

The Chelmsford Diocesan House of Retreat is a 26-bedroom retreat house situated in the village of Pleshey (7 miles north of Chelmsford). We are looking for a part-time Housekeeper to join our hardworking and supportive housekeeping team.

Salary: £12.13 per hour (FTE £22,073)
Job Type: Part-time, permanent
Working hours: 10 hours per week - Mondays and Fridays 08:00am - 1:00pm (There may be some scope for overtime and flexibility)
Location: The Diocesan House of Retreat, Pleshey (Due to the remote location, own transport is highly desirable)

Main duties will include:

  • Cleaning bedrooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms
  • Hoovering
  • Cleaning communal areas
  • Laundry and ironing

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a housekeeper is preferred, but not essential
  • Good team working skills
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and friendly
