As part of their Fathers Day service, Christchurch Three Mills invited members of their church to tie a ribbon to the cross
"Recognising the pain and loss of father figures who have left us.
"The hurt and holes from where we have been fathered less than perfectly.
"The struggle of where we have not always known and given love as it was meant to be known and given.
"Coming to the cross where God has shown us what love is, we recognise the healing that comes from receiving God’s freely given love. A love that is not and cannot be earnt, a love that grants each and everyone of us a seat at the table, a love that calls us to join the work of God in welcoming all, without condition."
