Life across our Diocese

Christchurch, Woodford Wells gathered outdoors to pray, share communion and to remember loved ones who have passed

Christchurch, Woodford Wells had a wonderful weekend of prayer, to celebrate All Saints and All Souls. They set up a sacred space for prayer, not in a holy building but an open tent at the heart of their estate.

"We prayed with litter pickers, with pebbles, with hero masks, with candles representing those we miss. We gathered to share and celebrate communion, remembering our community as part of the great community of all who have gone before. To all who came, picked litter across the neighbourhood, prayed a prayer, left a candle, brought sweets, stopped for conversation or even just passed by - we see you and we thank you and we are here for you."
