All Saints, Fordham Church of England Primary School children share their concerns and ideas about rough sleeping with Bishop Guli

Bishop Guli at All Saints, Fordham Primary

Earlier this year, Oak Class at All Saints Fordham Primary School wrote a letter to Bishop Guli, sharing their concerns about people sleeping rough in terrible weather. The reception class had been learning about poverty and compassion and decided to write to Bishop Guli about what the Church might do to help.

After reading the letter Bishop Guli wrote back to the children and their teacher Mrs Styant to thank them for their ideas and share some of the things people in churches are doing across Chelmsford Diocese to help people in their local communities. She also asked the children if she could visit them at school so she could hear some more about their ideas. Bishop Guli recently visited the children and Mrs Styant and is pictured with them.
