Bishop Guli’s Lenten Pilgrimage 2025

On six days during Lent this year, Bishop Guli has walked St Peter’s Way for her Lenten Pilgrimage.


Day 1 - St Andrew’s Greensted to Mill Green Common - Thursday 6 March 2025 

This year's pilgrimage started on Thursday 6th March 2025 with a 13km walk from St Andrew’s Greensted to Mill Green Common.


Day 2 - Mill Green Common to St Mary's and St Edward's West Hanningfield - Thursday 13 March 2025

The second walk took pilgrims on a 14.77km walk from the hamlet of Mill Green to the small village of West Hanningfield.


Day 3 - St Mary's and St Edward's West Hanningfield to All Saints Purleigh - Thursday 27 March 2025 

The third day of the pilgrimage was a 13.5km walk from the small village of West Hannigfield to the village of Purleigh, via East Hanningfield, and St Andrew's Biknacre for a lovely lunch. 


Day 4 - All Saints Purleigh to St Lawrence and All Saints Steeple - Monday 31 March 2025 

The fourth day of the pilgrimage was a 13.2km walk from All Saints Purleigh to St Lawrence and All Saints Steeple, via St Mary's Mundon and St Barnabas Mayland. 


Day 5 - St Lawrence and All Saints Steeple to Bradwell Chapel - Wednesday 9 April 2025

The penultimate day of the Lenten Pilgrimage took walkers 11.58km from St Lawrence and All Saints Steeple to the historic Chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall at Bradwell on Sea, the end point of St Peter's Way. 


Day 6 - Holy Trinity Pleshey to Chelmsford Cathedral

The final day of this year's Lenten Pilgrimage was a 15km walk from Holy Trinity Pleshey to Chelsmford Cathedral. Thank you to everyone who joined Bishop Guli on this year's Lenten Pilgrimage.
