The Rev’d Anne-Marie Renshaw appointed as the Archdeacon of Morgannwg

The Rt Rev’d Mary Stallard, Bishop of Llandaff in the Church in Wales has announced that the Rev’d Anne-Marie Renshaw has been appointed as the Archdeacon of Morgannwg in the Diocese of Llandaff.

Anne-Marie is currently Team Rector of the Benefice of Thurstable and Winstree in the Diocese of Chelmsford.

Commenting on her appointment, the Rev’d Anne-Marie Renshaw said:

“I am very much looking forward to this new chapter and to getting to know the people of the Diocese of Llandaff. I will have much to learn, not least the Welsh language. It has been a great joy and privilege to serve in the Witham Deanery and I will carry with me many fond memories of my time here.”

The Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Rev’d Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani said:

“I warmly congratulate Anne-Marie on her appointment as Archdeacon of Morgannwg. She has been a faithful servant to the churches, schools and communities where she has ministered in our diocese and I know she will be greatly missed. Please join me in praying for Anne-Marie and her family as she prepares for this next chapter in her ministry.”

The Benefice of Thurstable and Winstree is in the Colchester Episcopal Area and the Bishop of Colchester, the Rt Rev’d Roger Morris said:

“We give thanks for Anne-Marie’s ministry with us in the Colchester Area, as a parish priest and Assistant Area Dean. She will be missed by those she has worked and served with, including all of us in the Colchester Area Team. Her appointment is good news for the Archdeaconry of Morgannwg and the Diocese of Llandaff and we’ll be praying for her as she prepares to move in the autumn.”

Anne-Marie will begin her new role as Archdeacon of Morgannwg in September.
